AKRON -- The marriage of Julia Steiner, 90 E. Bridge St., Berea, and Leonard Carbone, 1040 W. Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton, was solemnized by the Rev. H. Paul Santmire at 11 a.m. July 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
A reception was held afterward in the church fellowship hall for the daughter of John and Patricia Steiner, 14043 Eby Road, Creston, and the son of Lewis and Evelyn Carbone, 922 Cynthia St., Niles.
The couple honeymooned at Cape Coral, Fla.
They are living at the groom's address.
The bride graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea with a bachelor's degree in English.
The groom, an English teacher with North Central Local Schools in Creston, earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in English from the University of Akron.
Pearls and sequins adorned the bride's white silk sleeveless gown. It featured a scooped neckline and a cathedral train. Antique French roses accented her heirloom veil.
Susan Steiner of Creston was the honor attendant for her sister. She wore a black and white gown, as did the bridesmaids, Kelly Hassenzahl of Galloway and Jennifer Madachik of North Royalton. Flower girl was Nicole Steiner of Creston, a cousin of the bride.
Sharing the duties of best man were Lawrence Carbone of Niles and Lewis Carbone Jr. of Norwalk, brothers of the groom. Groomsman was the bride's brother, Jeffrey Steiner of Creston, and ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Lorenzo Carbone of Niles.
