NEW MIDDLETOWN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 3:30 p.m. June 23 at the Free Methodist Community Church as Erin Elizabeth Clay and Patrick Albert Blakeman, both of 265 Santa Fe Trail, Boardman, were united in marriage by the Rev. Dr. William D. Mountcastle.
The daughter of Frank and Brenda Clay, 258 Afton Ave., Boardman, and the son of Albert and Ellen Blakeman, 3953 E. Middletown Road, New Springfield, were honored afterward during a reception at The Embassy in Youngstown.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple live at the Santa Fe Trail address.
The sleeveless matte satin gown worn by the bride was embellished with Alencon lace appliques and featured a full skirt and a cathedral train.
Gowns in pastel hues were worn by Melissa Rotana, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Alisha Clay, a cousin of the bride; Stephanie Miller; Janice Ribarich; Casey Fagnano; and Barbi Rice. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Dianna Clay.
Serving as best man was Chuck Filek, and groomsmen were Matt Kissel, Doug Spencer, Matt Kimble, Justin McMannis and Joe Swantek. Guests were ushered by the bride's cousin, David Clay, and Jess Humphries.
The bride, a day-care provider at Wee Care Day Care and Learning Centre in Boardman, is attending Youngstown State University.
The groom is a team leader/laborer with AFG Insulating in Boardman.
