Drapchos renew marriage vows on anniversary

STRUTHERS -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Drapcho, 556 W. Omar St., was observed at two events.
The couple renewed their marriage vows June 24 during a Mass at St. Columba Cathedral, and they were honored July 14 during a family dinner party held in the banquet room at Smaldino's Family Restaurant in North Lima.
Arrangements for the festivities were made by their family, Patricia and Allan Banner of Liberty, Carole and Tom Krispinsky of Boardman, Diane Drapcho of Canfield, and Ann Marie and Matt Stroney of Ellsworth. Also participating were their six grandchildren. Another grandchild is deceased.
The former Ann Vadjina and Mr. Drapcho were united in marriage July 14, 1951, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Youngstown. They are members of St. Matthias Church, also in Youngstown.
Mr. Drapcho served with the U.S. Army in Italy during World War II. He retired in 1982 from Republic Steel Storage Systems Truscon Plant in Youngstown, where he was a general supervisor. His wife is a homemaker.
