Make it yourself
Diane Garrison and Linda Ragsdale's brainchild didn't result from thinking outside the box. It came from thinking about the box.
The sisters have turned cardboard into a make-it-yourself line of furniture and home accents. The fully functional furniture pieces are made of recycled corrugated cardboard, laminated into panels that are five-eighths-inch thick. The adult furniture is strong enough to hold 1,000 pounds.
A child's table and two chairs sells for $35; the 56-inch-wide sofa, for $75. For more information, www.crazycardboard.com/.
