YOUNGSTOWN -- A reception was held at the Maronite Center to honor Daniel Watson, 5244 Pinetree Lane, Boardman, and his bride, the former Carie Brode, 7523 Jaguar Drive, Boardman, following their wedding June 16 at St. Brendan Church.
The Rev. James Daprile presided at the 1 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Ronald and JoAnn Brode of the Jaguar Drive address and the son of Michael and Janet Sonnenlitter, 390 W. Wood St., Lowellville.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and live in Boardman.
Fashioned of white satin and enhanced with pearls and bugle beads, the bride's strapless gown featured an A-line skirt and a chapel train.
Celedon and sage gowns were worn by Christina Danko, the bride's sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Ashley Vaughan, her niece; Kelly Elliott; Jessica deSaulles; Kate McQueen; Katie Sammartino and Angelo Sammartino, the groom's cousins; and Shannon Thompson, his sister. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Jacci Acierno.
Matthew Sonnenlitter was his brother's best man, and groomsmen were Carmen Acierno and Jim Klinka, cousins of the bride; Joseph Vlosich; Brian deSaulles; Mark Bradley; Timmy Hephner; and Ryan Thompson, the groom's brother-in-law.
The bride and groom are attending Youngstown State University where they are pursuing bachelor's degrees, hers in education and his in engineering. He is employed at Mill Creek Metro Park.
