NEW MIDDLETOWN -- The wedding of Aida Galvis, daughter of Luz Mary Reyes of Armenia, Colombia, South America, and the late Jose Galvis, and Robert W. Billett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Billett, 743 Mapleridge Drive, Boardman, took place at 4 p.m. July 6 at St. Paul the Apostle Church.
The Rev. Nicholas Shori officiated, and a reception followed at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple live in Plantation, Fla.
An ivory princess-style sleeveless gown was worn by the bride. The bodice featured silver embossing, and a gold and pearl tiara held her veil.
The bride's sister, Olga Galvis, was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Patricia Billett, the groom's sister, and Dena and Kristen Nash and Courtney Kohout, his nieces. They wore lavender gowns. Flower girl was his niece, Genna Nash.
Michael Billett performed the duties of best man for his brother, and serving as groomsman was James Russell. Ring bearers were Michael Jr. and Jeremy Billett, the groom's nephews, and ushers were Bradley Nash and David Kohout, his nephews.
Mrs. Billett is employed as a sales representative with Burdine's Department Store in Plantation.
Her husband attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Art and is marketing manager of Lumidor Safety Products in Miramar, Fla.
