3 men face various charges after car chase and crash

COITSVILLE -- Two Youngstown men and a Farrell, Pa., man were arrested on a variety of charges early Saturday after a chase.
A 21-year-old West Boston Avenue man faces a felony charge of fleeing and eluding, a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and three misdemeanor driving charges. He also was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown police for failing to appear in court.
A 19-year-old Kendis Circle man faces a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and a misdemeanor charge of giving a false name to a police officer. He also was wanted on a warrant in Youngstown and two warrants in Coitsville for failing to appear.
The third man arrested, a 25-year-old resident of Fruit Avenue in Farrell, was released by police here so he could walk across the Pennsylvania state line and surrender to Pennsylvania State Police on two outstanding warrants for DUI and fleeing and eluding.
Pursuit: The chase began at 2:03 a.m., when Coitsville police tried to pull over a car for running a stop sign on McGuffey Road.
The chase went into Pulaski Township in Pennsylvania, then back across the state line into Coitsville, where the driver crashed at the dead end of Galluppi Drive.
Two men were arrested at the scene; the third in woods near U.S. 422. One man was treated for minor injuries.
Police said they found a loaded .357 magnum handgun in the back seat of the car.
