Rotary Club installs new president
YOUNGSTOWN -- Deborah A. Corbi was installed as the 87th president of the Youngstown Rotary Club at an installation ceremony July 11 at the Youngstown Club.
Corbi is the first woman to serve as president in the club's history dating back to 1915. She joined the club in 1994 and has maintained perfect attendance at the weekly meetings. She has also served as chairwoman of several of the organization's committees as well as on its board of directors. She is employed as director of finance and administration at Cumulus Broadcasting Inc. She is a graduate of Youngstown State University. She and her husband, Joseph, reside in Boardman.
Other officers: Jerold A. Haber, former District 6650 governor, conducted the induction ceremony, and those seated as associate officers were: Michael F. Shaffer, president-elect; Scott R. Schulick, vice president; Elayne M.S. Klovis, secretary; and Eric J. Caspary, treasurer. Club directors installed for three-year terms were Walter DeBald and William A. Russell.
C. Reid Schmutz, the club's outgoing president, was honored recently at a dinner at the Youngstown Country Club.
