Oldtimers to visit New Springfield
NEW SPRINGFIELD -- The Youngstown Oldtimers baseball team will try to regain its winning ways Saturday in a 2 p.m. game against the New Springfield Oldtimers.
Youngstown dropped a 6-3 decision to the East Palestine Oldtimers Sunday at Cene Field, to fall to a 6-4 record. East Palestine scored three runs each in the first and fourth innings to win handily.
The winners were led by Bill Yanssens with two RBIs and Mike Mancuso and John Bloor with two hits each.
For Youngstown, Ron Langley had three hits, while Jack Auman, Charley White and Al Orr added two hits each.
