Foundation gives grantto Rescue Mission
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley received a $13,700 grant from the Youngstown Foundation that will be used to purchase kitchen equipment at the residence building, 962 Martin Luther King Blvd.
The Rescue Mission provides shelter for the homeless and serves three meals a day, 365 days a year.
Block watch to meet
YOUNGSTOWN -- Snoop Block Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday under the trees behind Jackson Elementary School, 1813 Windsor Ave. Bring a lawn chair.
Councilman John Swierz will attend and discuss neighborhood issues.
