CAR WASHES
XBoardman Band Flagline will hold a card wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Chili's, Southern Park Mall, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Pizza Hut, Route 224 and South Avenue.
FESTIVALS
XThe 17th annual East Palestine Park Festival will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 28. Featured will be crafts, antiques, a car cruise, a farmers market and musical entertainment. XNorth Bloomfield Historical Society will hold its second annual Historical Days festival beginning at 9 a.m. July 28 in the town commons at the intersection of state Routes 45 and 87, North Bloomfield. Events include a vintage tractor and antique car show, crafts, collectibles, an Amish bake sale, a 50/50 raffle and a firemen's softball game. There will be an open horse-shoe pitch contest. Meals of roast beef sandwiches, dessert and beverage will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $4.
XSt. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 220 N. Walnut St., Youngstown, will hold a Greek Summerfest from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Featured will be lamb and chicken dinner, Greek pastries and foods, a trash and treasure sale, a Chinese auction and a grand-prize drawing. Fish dinners will be available on Friday. RAFFLES
XFriends of Newton Falls Public Library will sponsor a Chinese raffle beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 16 in the Palmer Room at the library, 204 S. Canal St., Newton Falls. Drawings will begin at 6 p.m.
SALES
XSt. Vincent de Paul Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A dollar-per-bag sale will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available, and there will be a bake sale and raffle both days.
