AUSTINTOWN -- Tiffany Lyn Burkhart and David Samuel Philibin, both of Austintown, were united in marriage July 7 during a 2 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. James Korda at St. Joseph Church.
The daughter of Bob and Carol Burkhart of Mineral Ridge and the son of David and Marion Philibin of Austintown accepted congratulations later that day during a reception at Salem Golf Club.
After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will live in Austintown.
The bride's white gown featured a bodice of imported satin with spaghetti straps and was embellished with floral beading. The organza skirt was accented with satin ribbon at the hemline and flowed into a semicathedral train.
Wearing black gowns were Tami Burkhart, the bride's sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Amy Mineo, Joan Jones, Lisa Fabry, Traci Merlo, Danielle Hudak and Sherry Westerburg.
Ryan Philibin performed the duties of best man for his brother, and serving as groomsmen were the bride's brother, Tod Burkhart; Greg Tibolla; Sean Fabry; John Ricci; Rick John; and Brian Cionni.
The bride, a teacher with Austintown Local Schools, graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in education.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at Youngstown State University and is an assistant manager with Farmers National Bank in Salem.
