ROAD WORK Area construction

A schedule of area road construction projects:
MAHONING COUNTY
Lake Milton: Starting Monday, I-76 eastbound and westbound bridges over the lake will be reduced to one 11-foot lane until Nov. 15. The $12.85-million rehabilitation project will last until mid-November 2003.
Canfield: U.S. Route 224 between state Route 11 and Mill Creek Park. One-lane closures from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Completion date: End of June.
Youngstown: Interstate 680 is reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow painting of seven bridges. Restrictions start on Four Mile Run Road in Austintown and continue to the Steel Street bridge. Completion date: End of October.
Austintown: The southbound lane of State Route 11 over Interstate 80 and Interstate 680 is closed for reconstruction of three bridges. A detour is provided. Completion date: Summer 2002.
Berlin Center: Beginning July 9, Bedell Road between Berlin Station and Leffingwell roads closed for bridge deck repairs. Traffic will be rerouted along Leffingwell Road, state Route 534 and Berlin Station Road. Completion date: July 13.
Youngstown: The north state Route 11 off-ramp to west Interstate 80 will be closed from Mondayto Oct. 9 for a $4.1 million rehabilitation of lighting and three bridges . A detour is provided. Completion date: October 2002.
Berlin Center: Bedell Road between Berlin Station and Leffingwell roads will be closed for seven days beginning Tuesday for repairing and resurfacing of Bedell road Bridge No. 7.
Lowellville: Quarry Road between Kennedy road and the Lowellville Village limits will be closed from 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. A detour is provided.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Girard: State Route 11 north off ramp to I-80 west will close Monday through Oct. 9 for reconstruction. The detour will follow state Route 11/I-80 northbound to Salt Springs Road to State Route 11/I-80 south to I-80 west.
Hubbard Township: The driving lanes of I-80 are closed from west of U.S. Route 62 to two miles east of Route 62 to repair and resurface pavement, paint 12 bridges and resurface seven bridges. Completion date: June 2002.
Hubbard Township: The Route 62 southbound bridge is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge replacements over Little Yankee Creek. Completion date: Oct. 31.
Vienna, Fowler and Howland townships: Northbound lane of state Route 11 near King Graves Road is closed for ramp construction. King Graves over Route 11 is closed for bridge replacement work. Detour provided. Completion date: November.
Champion Township: State Route 5 east of state Route 45 will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction. Project is rehabilitation of two bridges on Route 5. Completion date: October or early November.
Niles: Belmont Avenue bridge over the Mahoning River is closed for bridge replacement work. Detour provided. Completion date: Late summer.
MERCER COUNTY
Work scheduled this week:
State Route 18: Greenville to Rutledge Road: Crack sealing.
Mercer-West Middlesex Road: Keel Ridge Road to Greenfield Road: Ditching.
U.S. Route 19: Lawrence County line to Mercer: Shoulder cutting.
Georgetown Road: East of state Route 173: Spray patching.
Georgetown Road: U.S. Route 19 to Route 173: Road closed for paving.
Blacktown Road: Findley Township: Ditching.
Harrisville and McComb roads: Scrubgrass Road to Route 173: Brush cutting.
Beatty School Road: Salem Township: Bridge repair.
Millbrook Road: Worth Township: Spray patching.
Baker Hill Road: Delaware Township: Spray patching.
