Reception held in celebration of Koontz jubilee

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Albert Koontz, 2105 Kirk Road, were honored July 7 as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by attending a Mass at St. Christine Church.
Afterward they accepted congratulations during a reception held at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
Invitations for the festivities were extended by their children, Gregory Koontz and Michael Koontz, both of Houston, Texas; Thomas Koontz of Snellville, Ga.; and Patrick Koontz, James Koontz and Colleen Collins, all of Youngstown. There are also eight grandchildren in the family.
The former Dolores Grady and Mr. Koontz were married July 7, 1951, at St. Brendan Church. They are members of St. Christine Church.
Mr. Koontz served as a yeoman third class with the U.S. Navy and retired in 1984 as vice president of Bank One after 30 years of service. He is a member of the Bears Club and Sebring Country Club.
