Open reception to be held at church to mark Cearnses' 40th anniversary



WILLSHIRE -- The 40th wedding anniversary of former Youngstown residents Mr. and Mrs. James Cearns, 15972 state Route 49 South, will be celebrated during an open-house reception to be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. July 22 at Willshire Countryside Nazarene Church, where they are members.
Arrangements for the festivities have been made by their family, Paul and Diana Cearns of Convoy and Gary and Chris Cearns and Susan and Brian Wolfe, all of Decatur, Ind., and church members.
The former Sarah Cleckner and Mr. Cearns were married July 22, 1961, at Youngstown First Church of the Nazarene. They have five grandchildren.
Mr. Cearns was employed for 35 years by the Aeroquip Corp., and retired from Federal Mogul, both in Van Wert. He is a member of Willshire Lions Club and Van Wert Horseshoe Club. He served with the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.
Mrs. Cearns was employed by the American Red Cross and is a librarian at the Brumback Library of Van Wert.
