Mr. and Mrs. Robert Plant mark golden anniversary at reception

MINERAL RIDGE -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Plant of Webb Road celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 30 at a reception held at their home, which was also the site of their original wedding reception.
Hosts for the observance were the couple's children and daughter-in-law, Rod and Lois Plant of Canton, Cathy Robinson of Warren and Cherri Rothenberger of Warren. Another son, Robert Plant of St. Petersburg, Fla., was unable to attend.
Mr. Plant and the former Willovene Rose were married July 2, 1951, at Ohltown United Methodist Church, where they are members. He retired from Packard Electric, and she worked as a swimming instructor at Fairhaven School in Niles.
Their family includes eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
