McGinnis 60th jubilee marked at family dinner
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. James McGinnis, 3821 Fredrick St., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 7 by attending a Mass at Immaculate Conception Church.
Afterward they were honored during a family dinner party held at the Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana.
Hosts for the festivities were their children, Barbara and Shelby Cash and Kathleen McGinnis, all of Poland; Patricia and Richard Milehim of Zanesville; James and Heidi McGinnis of Cincinnati; John and Skye McGinnis of Willoughby; and Robert and Connie McGinnis of New Wilmington, Pa.
The former Catherine Cronk and Mr. McGinnis were married July 12, 1941, at Immaculate Conception Church. They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where he is an usher. They have 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr. McGinnis served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He is an accountant with Patterson Buckeye and is a member of Amvets, 37 Division, and Mahoning Valley Gaelic Society.
