YOUNGSTOWN -- Karen Jursa of Sunbury and Spencer Twyford of Croton were united in marriage at 1 p.m. June 9 in a ceremony solemnized by Monsignor Michael Ronik at Holy Name Church.
The daughter of Raymond and Estella Jursa, 2414 Ardenwood Place, Austintown, and the son of Chuck and Cindy Twyford, 58 S. Main St., Croton, accepted congratulations at a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman before leaving on a wedding trip to the Hawaiian island of Maui.
The bride's sleeveless white satin gown featured bands of pearls and crystals at the boat neckline and waist, and the A-line skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Black gowns were worn by Nicole Ritzler of Westerville, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Laura Noble-Haggy of Port Clinton and Alyson DeAngelo and Nicole Almasy, both of Columbus.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Shawn Twyford of Columbus, and groomsmen were Ryan McGurer and Chuck Caviliar, both of Chicago; Bryon Pierce of Cleveland; Greg Campbell of Youngstown; and the bride's brother, Jeff Jursa of Youngstown.
The bride and groom graduated from Bowling Green State University with bachelor's degrees, hers in fashion merchandising and his in finance. She is an assistant general manager with Lazarus Department Store in Columbus, and he is a loan officer with Sky Financial Bank in Columbus.
They live in Sunbury.
