FARRELL Centennial events
The city kicks off a weeklong centennial celebration Monday. Most of the events will be at the Farrell School District complex at 1600 Roemer Blvd., unless otherwise noted. There will be amusement rides, church and civic group food booths, public service information and memorabilia displays. The schedule of events:
MONDAY
6:30 p.m.: Kevin "The Juggling Guy" Delagrange performs at the Stey-Nevant Public Library.
TUESDAY
11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Scholastic Book Fair at Stey-Nevant at 1000 Roemer Blvd.
7 p.m.: Opening ceremony.
8 p.m.: Vocalist Jerry Chiodo and comedian Lou Rosati.
9 p.m.: Farrell Boosters Club presents "The Steelers."
WEDNESDAY
7 p.m.: Gospel groups perform.
8:30 p.m.: Vocalist Lawrence Thomas.
THURSDAY
6 p.m.: Performance by rock group Blacklisted.
6:30 p.m.: The River Saints with special guests Grant Street Exit.
FRIDAY
6:30 p.m.: "The Way It Was" with Tony C and Jim Bickel.
8 p.m.: Dancing to Carl Severino and The Party Machine.
SATURDAY
11 a.m.: Civic spirit sculpture dedication at the municipal building, Roemer Boulevard and Spearman Avenue.
12:30 p.m.: Parade from the city building to the school complex.
2 p.m.: Centennial honorees recognized.
4 p.m.: Music by Blue Max.
6 p.m.: Music by Frankie and The Sensations.
8 p.m.: The Carl Marx Orchestra.
9:10 p.m.: Fireworks.
