POLAND -- Nuptial vows were exchanged in the presence of Monsignor William Connell as Clare Viette Morris and David William Copperwheat, both of 1021-207 Trinity Ridge Road, Raleigh, N.C., were united in marriage June 9 at Holy Family Church.
The ceremony took place at 2 p.m., and the couple were honored later that day during a reception at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
The daughter of Carol Morris, 7464 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, and the late William H.E. Morris, and the son of Jon and Barbara Copperwheat, 2 Meadow Wood Drive, Fairport, N.Y., honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
They live in Raleigh.
Pearls and lace enhanced the bride's white A-line gown. It featured spaghetti straps and a chapel train. She was escorted by her brother, William Morris.
Melody Martin, the honor attendant, wore a lavender gown, as did the bridesmaids, Jaime Light; Erin Huesler, the bride's cousin; Tiffany Evans; and Tami Pichitino.
Serving as best man was the groom's brother, Brian Copperwheat, and groomsmen were Kevin Copperwheat, also his brother; Stephen Morris, the bride's brother; John Benetti; and Thomas Halter.
The bride graduated from Marietta College with a bachelor's degree and is employed by Wake County Schools in Cary, N.C., as a fifth-grade teacher.
The groom, a third-grade teacher with Wake County Schools in Raleigh, graduated from Cortland College with a bachelor's degree.
