Body found at park
RAVENNA -- A body believed to be that of Timothy Heaton of Canton was recovered Friday afternoon about 175 feet from the north shore of Michael J. Kirwan Reservoir at West Branch State Park, according to state park officials. The body was recovered near the location where state park officers found an unattended boat registered to Heaton Sunday afternoon. Park officials, the Charlestown and Rootstown fire departments, and the Army Corps of Engineers participated in the extensive land and water search. Dr. Rogelio Marcial, Portage County coroner, said he hopes to have a positive identification when an autopsy is conducted today.
