Sonja Williams, Roy Williams to be married

YOUNGSTOWN -- The engagement of Sonja A. Williams and Roy "Jay" Williams, both of Youngstown, is announced by the bride-to-be's mother, Estelle Brown-Williams of Youngstown, and the future groom's parents, Ronald C. and Mary A. Williams, also of Youngstown.
An Upward Bound counselor at Youngstown State University, Miss Williams graduated from YSU with a bachelor's degree in English.
The prospective groom earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at YSU. He is director of the Community Development Agency for the city of Youngstown.
The couple will exchange vows during an open-church ceremony planned for 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at Stambaugh Auditorium.
