Truck crash kills Mineral Ridge man

DEERFIELD -- An elderly Mineral Ridge man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning, on Wagner Road west of state Route 14.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Ravenna identified him as George W. Snyder, 79, who had been driving a westbound pickup truck, which went off the left side of the road, striking an embankment and a large tree before rolling over onto its top.
The accident occurred at 10:15 a.m. Snyder, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, wasn't wearing his safety belt, the patrol reported.
