Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Youngstown Express 5, East Side Kiwanis 0 -- Adam Zakowski pitched a complete game, allowing two hits. He struck out seven. Mike Eliseo had a key two-run single while John Foty doubled. Zakowski, Jay Davis and Grant Sevek also had RBI singles.
Babe Ruth (age 13)
Youngstown Express 8, Astro Falcons 5 -- Jared Bartholomew was the winning pitcher, with relief help from David Patrick. They combined on a four-hitter. Jesse D'Amico tripled twice and Manoli Pahoulis doubled.
Colt (ages 15-17)
East Palestine Venzia Auto 8, Canfield 4 -- Ed Byerly, Brian Hanolt and Brandon Lewis each had a single and a double.
Venzia Auto 13, Austintown Home Depot 11 -- Ed Byerly went 4-for-4 and Frankie Newman and Nick Henry each doubled.
Niles Altronics 6, Venzia Auto 3 -- Matt White and Joe Infante doubled for Niles and Frankie Newman had a single and a triple for Venzia.
SOFTBALL
Pony (ages 13-14)
Boardman Dart Trucking 7, Canfield Southeastern Equipment 6 -- Winning-pitcher Tricia Bailey had a two-run double in the seventh to decide it. Beth Franklin had three hits. For Canfield, Stephanie Zunic doubled twice and C.J. Calabrese had a pair of singles.
