The highlight of the symphony's 75th anniversary season was its Diamond Jubilee concert Feb. 24, which featured guest soloist Ana Kavafian during Mozart's Concerto No. 4 for Violin and Orchestra.

Ballet Western Reserve's artistic director celebrated her 20th anniversary in Youngstown as her students gave their first performances of the storybook ballet "Aladdin." Lin wrote the script and created the choreography.
UPIECES OF A DREAM
The pioneering smooth jazz band released a new CD, "Acquainted With the Night," for its 25th anniversary. Another important occasion will be Feb. 20; that's when keyboard player James Lloyd, who now lives in Youngstown, will marry longtime city resident Teresa Barron. They met after a Pieces of a Dream concert at Youngstown Playhouse a few years ago.
