Audio book
"The Fellowship of the Ring," by J.R.R. Tolkien (A BBC Radio dramatization, four cassettes, 4 hours, unabridged, $25.95).
Part 1 of the classic "Lord of the Rings" trilogy has been made into an outstanding full cast BBC dramatization, including music and sound effects that completely pull the listener into the mystical story. In "Fellowship of the Ring," Frodo has inherited the Ring of Power from Bilbo Baggins. It's up to Frodo to take the ring to a place where it can be destroyed, thus keeping it out of the hands of the evil Sauron, Lord of the Dark Tower of Mordor. Helping Frodo on his quest are fellow hobbits Sam, Merry, and Pippin, Gandalf the Wizard, and a mysterious stranger called Strider.
