AUSTINTOWN -- Immaculate Heart of Mary Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 for the wedding of Michele E. Bentfeld, Syracuse, N.Y., and Brian J. Sewall, 8247 Trevi Lane, Clay, N.Y. The Rev. Stephen Popovich officiated.
After a reception at Theodore's Banquet Center, Mineral Ridge, the couple left on a Caribbean cruise. They live at the groom's address.
Parents of the bride are Ken and Barbara Bentfeld, 5724 Yorktown Lane, Austintown, and the groom is a son of Barbara Sewall, 1305 Bickel Church Road, Baltimore, Ohio.
The bride wore a sleeveless satin gown embellished with pearls and crystals
Scarlet gowns were worn by Catherine Baird, the honor attendant; the bridesmaids, Natalie Collis, Jennifer Gregerson, Katherine Harrison, and Jill Shook, and the junior bridesmaid, Brianna Milk. Flower girl was Madison Shook, who wore the bride's first communion dress.
David Sewall performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Ken Bentfeld, Neal Murphy, Kevin Snow, and Dan West. Junior groomsman was David Shook, and ring bearers were Zachary and Joshua Shook.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ohio State University and is a case manager/counselor with Onondaga County YWCA in Syracuse, N.Y.
The groom, an embedded-software engineer with Lockheed Martin in Syracuse, graduated from Ohio University in Athens with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and earned his master's at OSU.
