Dovalas observe 50th anniversary at dinner party

AUSTINTOWN -- Family members and close friends attended a dinner party Dec. 22 in observance of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew C. Dovala, 288 Wilcox Road.
The festivity was a continuation of a celebration that began in November when the couple took an anniversary trip to Las Vegas.
Arrangements for the festivities were made by their children, Sharon Dovala and Wendy Graham, both of Cleveland
The former Elaine Vail and Mr. Dovala were united in marriage Dec. 22, 1951, at Epworth Methodist Church in Youngstown. They are members of Western Reserve United Methodist Church and the Austintown Historical Society.
Mr. Dovala served four years with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired in December 1992 from Ameritech in Youngstown where he was a central office technician. He is a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
His wife is a homemaker.
