YOUNGSTOWN -- Municipal Judge Robert A. Douglas Jr., who was re-elected to the bench last month, will be sworn in at 4 p.m. Friday. The oath of office will take place in his courtroom on the second floor of City Hall. Judge Douglas was appointed to the bench in November 1997 by then-governor George Voinovich and elected in November 1999 to fill the unexpired term of Judge Louis K. Levy. Judge Douglas' six-year term begins Jan. 1.
Special meeting
LORDSTOWN -- Village council will meet in special session at 11 a.m. Wednesday to consider several pieces of legislation including an ordinance authorizing the village to enter a settlement agreement regarding insulation at the police administration building.
