Bank closes after morning robbery

YOUNGSTOWN -- Bank One at 2900 Market St. closed temporarily this morning after a robbery.
The suspect's description was similar to that of a man who robbed Dollar General, 3613 Market St., at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The suspect was described by police as black, 45 to 55 years old, thin, 6 foot with unkempt salt and pepper hair.
The clerk at Dollar General said the man who robbed her kept his hand in his coat pocket and said he had a gun.
At the bank, Detective Sgt. John Kelty said the robber walked in and asked for money and left in a car. It's possible the car was driven by a woman. The car was described as a blue Buick Riviera.
After speaking to a man officers had picked up and brought to the bank about 9:55 a.m., Kelty said he didn't believe the man was involved.
