What: About 480,000 Twister lamps.
Reason: The portable lamp's bulb can pose a risk of burn injuries to consumers, and the risk of fire if the bulb comes in contact with combustible materials. There have been five reports of injuries to consumers and 12 reports of property damage because of the bulb coming in contact with bedding, carpeting and upholstered furniture.
Description: The flexible-necked lamps are 38 inches tall. Most have a Looney Tunes or Disney cartoon character on the plastic shade, although some are solid colored. A silver label near the bulb reads in part, "Caution: To Reduce the Risk of Fire Use 40 Watt Max. Made in China."
Sold from: January 1997 through June 2001 at retail stores and catalogs nationwide for about $18.
