Top series: Nick Hanuschak fired 801 in Lucianno's Men on Dec. 17 at Wedgewood while John Doughton III delivered 300 and Mark Ferrara 290 in Kelley-Robb Classic at Bell-Wick on Dec. 13.
Bob Schall didn't reach 700, but he improved on games of 181 and 212 before hitting 300 in Bob's Service Men's Classic at Wedgewood on Dec. 7.
George Muntean had his first 300 in the Levinson Tire League at Holiday. Muntean's other games were 216 and 175. His average is 192.
Rich Pilla's 300 game Christmas gift came Dec. 17 in Monday Night Mixed at A-Plus Family Bowl.
Lou DiNardo rolled 299-793 in Dr. John's Auto Clinic at Boardman while a solid four-pin kept Dan Paris from perfection in Kernan Insurance Men at West Side on Dec. 13.
Another pair of 299s came at Holiday with Jack King in Local 1331 on Dec. 17 and young Jason Lorenzi in Shooting Gallery on Dec. 18. King, in his first year of bowling, has only 37 games under his belt. He carries a 177 average. Local 1331's second-quarter winner was F.J.M. Concrete.
Rich Dixson and Ed Roscoe had 298s and Joe Steiner 297 in Austintown Township-UAW 1112 Men at Wedgewood on Dec. 5.
Teri Haefke had 259-747 to lead all bowlers in Triple A at A-Plus while a pair of 246s helped Theresa Florjancic's 718 in Lucky Ladies at Holiday. Marla Chicase also had 718 as part of a 944 four-game set to top Wedgewood Ladies Trio on Dec. 18.
Allen Bushey started with 145, then progressed to 177 and finally 261 for 583 in Holiday's Allied Printcraft on Dec. 17.
Vinnie Lucente's 268-748 led Wedgewood Jrs./Majors of which T.I. Messenger of Lauren Bachinger, Tom Kloss, Patrick Reed and Josh Schall were first-half champions.
Other champs: Other Wedgewood first-half champions were: Hanson (Kevin Albright, Jenny Hale, Deena Latronica, Alyssa Riebe) in Jr.s B; Ace High (Jonathan Dina, Matt Hensperger, Ricky Martin, Paul Wright) in Jrs. C-I; Lucky Strikes (Vicki Berquist, Frances Fuller, Pamela Kerby, Tiffany Terlecki) in Bantams and 2 Ks and 2 Cs (Chelsea Creatore, Carlee Schaffner, Kyle Sharisky, Rayla Winner) in Pee Wees.
Michelle Sobinovsky bowled a clean game (no open frames) of 189 in Pinettes at Holiday while Bluebirds won first half and Cardinals were second in Earlybird at Camelot.
Branch 731/Florand won Jednota Mixed's first half at Holiday with Jean and Bob Sofranec and Jackie and Jim Bobby as members.
At Bell-Wick, No Clue of Mark Ferrara, Jim Baker, Joe Beeson Jr., John Doughton III and Dean Beasley won Spiech Classic's second quarter in the Shirts division while Village Tavern of Francis Zitnik, Don Ashman, Bill Dickey, Ernie Campbell and Henry Merrell did likewise in the Slacks division.
The Golden Needle team of Mel Brooks, John Peyton, Jack Carter, Jackie Martin and Willie McGaha won F.D. Mason Classic's second quarter at A-Plus.
