Farrell man charged with intimidation

SHARON, Pa. -- Charles D. Norris, 28, of Roemer Boulevard, Farrell, remained in Mercer County Jail this morning with bond set at $50,000 after he was alleged to have threatened a witness to a crime.
Police said he was picked up in the 800 block of Spearman Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after a complaint from a Ravine Place woman.
He was charged with intimidation of a witness and harassment.
Police said the woman who called for help was a witness to a fight in which Norris is accused of striking another Ravine Place woman Dec. 12. He was arraigned earlier on charges of simple assault and harassment in that case.
Police said he showed up outside the witness' apartment Wednesday night, parking his car out front and playing two songs very loudly over his radio.
The songs were, "Kill the B----" and "Murder Was the Case they Gave Me," police said.
The witness told police that Norris also got out of the car and walked around the outside of her apartment before leaving the area, police said.
During his arraignment Thursday before District Justice James McMahon, an additional count of aggravated assault was filed against him in the Dec. 12 case and McMahon ordered him held with bond set at $25,000 on each case.
