YOUNGSTOWN -- Duane J. Piccirilli, executive director of Help Hotline Crisis Center, was elected president of the Mahoning County Family and Children First Council. Other officers are vice president Denise Stewart, executive director of the Mahoning County Children Services Board; secretary Dee Crawford, executive director of the county Department of Job and Family Services; and treasurer William Hyde, superintendent of the county Educational Service Center.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Atty. Martin J. Boetcher of Youngstown has been elected to the Ohio State Bar Association's council of delegates. The council reviews potential legislative recommendations. Boetcher will represent District 13, which includes Mahoning and Columbiana counties. His term runs July 1, 2002, to June 30, 2004. He is a partner with Harrington, Hoppe & amp; Mitchell of Youngstown.
