CEREMONY Canfield Republican women seat officers at luncheon

ELLSWORTH -- The installation of officers for the coming year was the highlight of a luncheon meeting held by Canfield Republican Women Dec. 5 at Diamond Back Golf Course.
Shirley Pitzer was inducted for her second term as president of the organization.
Seated as her associate officers were Susan Huber, first vice president/membership; Sherry Ogrodnik, second vice president/campaign; Mary Alice Bradshaw, third vice president/telephone; Denise May, secretary; and Lisa Petzinger, treasurer.
The installation ceremony was conducted by Helen Bryan, a past president.
Appointed to various committees were Joyce Galiete, chaplain; Barbara Hall, program; Peg Davis, publicity; Kay Carver, legislation; Linda Myhal and Margot Baird, social; Virginia Gregor, sunshine; Ann Reese and Ileene Shaffer, historians; Mary Ann Bryan, ways and means; Joyce Brooks, awards; and Emma Alcott, parliamentarian.
It was announced that the Canfield Republican Women won two third-place awards from the Ohio Federation of Republican Women for scrapbook and media coverage.
Meeting: The group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 2 at the golf course. Maj. Judy Kellar will present a program, "Women in the Military." Members can make reservations by calling committee contacts.
