KraftMaid to add 300 plant workers

MIDDLEFIELD -- KraftMaid Cabinetry is expanding and adding 300 workers at its Middlefield plant.
The cabinet maker is adding 100 workers immediately at the plant on state Route 608 in Geauga County and 200 in the first three months of next year.
The company said it has doubled its production over the past five years and wants to increase shipments even more to meet customer demand.

KraftMaid, which employs 3,000 people nationwide, bills itself as the largest maker of semi-custom cabinets in the United States. It said it has had record sales in 1999 and 2000.
