The burglary of a Sharon restaurant is the focus of Mercer County Crime Solvers this week:
Crime: Burglary and theft.Location: Hot Rod Cafe, 101 Chestnut St., Sharon.Details: Police said burglars broke into the restaurant office early Wednesday and used a dolly to cart off a large safe weighing around 200 pounds. Police found the safe and dolly shortly after noon along the banks of the Shenango River just south of the restaurant. The safe had been opened and the contents removed, police said.Contact: Call Crime Solvers between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at (724) 347-HELP. Callers do not have to give their names.Reward: Crime Solvers, a nonprofit organization, offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in Mercer County.
