COLUMBUS -- Courtney Coleman scored 21 points, Ashley Allen had 19 off the bench and Lauren Shenk added 18 in the consolation game of the Women's Sports Foundation Classic. D'wan Shackleford added 11 points and Tomeka Brown had 10 for the Buckeyes (3-6), who scored 36 points off of Xavier turnovers. Both teams shot well from the field -- Xavier hit 57 percent of its shots to Ohio State's 56 percent -- but the Musketeers (4-6) had 25 turnovers to the Buckeyes' nine. Coleman hit 10-of-12 shots from the field. Shenk had eight assists. Kate Kreager scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Xavier, with Amy Waugh scoring 15 points and Shavon Bell 12. Coleman hit two layups and Allen made a 3-pointer in a 7-0 first half run as Ohio State took a 45-31 lead. The Musketeers never got closer than 13 points in the second half.
No. 7 Purdue 82, California-Santa Barbara 67
INDIANAPOLIS -- Erika Valek scored 18 of her career-high 21 points in the second half as No. 7 Purdue rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit. The victory was the eighth straight for the Boilermakers (8-1), who won their previous seven games by an average of almost 27 points. The Gauchos (3-4) took control in the first half with runs of 11-0 and 12-0, and built a 36-29 halftime lead despite having three starters with three fouls. Valek led the comeback for Purdue, which shot a 29.2 percent from the floor in the first half. Valek started the rally with back-to-back 3-pointers, then drove in for a layup as the Boilermakers closed within 45-39. Purdue scored 17 unanswered points, a spurt that was punctuated by Kayte Christensen's 3-footer with 9:23 remaining, and moved out to a 56-47 lead. Mary Jo Noon finished with 16 points, 12 in the second half, and Shereka Wright added 14 points for Purdue. Kristen Mann came off the bench to score 20 points and grab 13 rebounds -- both team-highs for the Gauchos. Christensen added 16 points.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Alisha Sare scored 18 points and Stacy Stephens added 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Texas. Five Longhorns scored in double figures as Texas (7-1) rebounded from its first loss of the season. Lamar (2-5) never led as Texas scored 19 points off 14 first-half turnovers to build a 43-23 halftime lead. For the game, Texas scored 25 points off 20 turnovers, while Lamar didn't score off the Longhorns' season-low nine turnovers. Sare and Stephens each recorded season-highs in scoring, while Tracy Cook added 14 points for Texas. Eva Christian led Lamar with 10 points.
