Man charged with assault on brother

SHARON, Pa. -- Police arrested Ernest Joe Torreance, 21, of Spruce Avenue, in connection with an attack on his brother on Monday.
He was picked up around 2 a.m. today on East Silver Street on a warrant charging him with burglary, criminal trespassing and simple assault as well as a parole detainer.
Police said he and another brother, Travis, 19, also of Spruce Avenue, are accused of forcing their way into the home of their brother, Archie, 18, of Prindle Street, and beating him up.
Travis was arrested on the same charges Thursday and is lodged in Mercer County Jail. Ernest Joe faced arraignment later today.
Archie also is in jail but not in connection with the fight. Police charged him Wednesday with receiving stolen property and a parole detainer. Police said he took $4,600 obtained from a burglary Sunday at Hot Rod Cafe off Connelly Boulevard.
