XGirard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.
CLASSES
XEast High School June Class of 1944 Women will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bobby D's on Midlothian Boulevard. All women class members are welcome.
CLUBS
XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet at noon Wednesday at Tippecanoe Country Club for a Christmas luncheon. A surprise program is planned, and members of the social committee will serve as hostesses.
XHubbard Fortnightly IV will meet Thursday at the home of Joanne Scarvell. Co-hostesses will be Judy Guidosh and Shirley Baldine. The agenda will include a Christmas program and gift exchange.
XTri-County Metal Detecting Club will meet Thursday at Cortland Bank, Elm Road branch, for a Christmas dinner. Members are to take a covered dish. Guests are welcome. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. For information contact Dave Gearheart at (330) 847-6959.

XCroatian Fraternal Lodge No. 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building in McDonald.
XMcDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.
GUILDS
XHolborn Herb Growers Guild will hold its annual Christmas party at Diamond Back Golf Course at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Hostesses will be the executive committee. There will be an optional gift exchange.
LODGES
XSt. George Lodge 66, Croatian Fraternal Union, will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at the lodge hall on Vestal Road. John Seeco will preside, and installation of officers will take place.
SERVICE CLUBS
XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Girard Grill.
XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.
SINGLES
XCatholic Alumni Club will hold its annual Christmas party Dec. 22 at Sacred Heart Retreat House. Mass at 5:30 p.m. will be followed by dinner and the party. A $10 gift exchange is planned for those desiring to participate. Cost for the event is $15, and reservations should be made by calling (330) 788-8373 or (724) 652-9188.
XSalem Area Singles will meet for a Christmas party and gift exchange from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Salem Chamber of Commerce building. Members are to take a covered dish and drink to share. The club will provide ham. There is a $10 limit for the optional unisex gift exchange. The group will play volleyball from 8 to 10 p.m. Monday, and members will meet at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21 for euchre. Dinner is planned for 6 p.m. Dec. 22 at Heck's restaurant followed by games at a member's home.
XMembers of Single For Any Reason will hold a dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Sunday at the Avalon Inn in Howland. Cost is $4. A cookie exchange is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday.

XBEACON Breast Cancer Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Cancer Care Center in Warren. The group is free for all women who have overcome breast cancer or who are receiving treatment. For information call (330) 544-4444.
