WARREN -- The father of a man accused of throwing semen on women faces sex-related charges.
Robert Gibson, 62, of North Albright McKay Road, Brookfield, is facing two counts of rape, two counts of corruption of a minor and nine counts of sexual battery.
Police and relatives say Gibson is the father of Robert Leroy Gibson III, 38, of South Albright McKay Road, who is facing eight counts of criminal mischief and one count of aggravated trespassing.
Niles and Howland police say Gibson III is accused of throwing semen at women at Eastwood Mall in Niles and the Kmart store near the mall complex.
Both men have pleaded innocent.
Trial set: The older Gibson is scheduled to go to trial Monday before Judge John Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. If convicted, he could face up to 40 years in prison.
Prosecutors said he is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl he knows in his Brookfield home.
Howland police said the younger Gibson threw semen on a woman Nov. 21 at Kmart on state Route 46.
The younger Gibson, a husband and father, has declined to comment.
He pleaded innocent last week in Niles Municipal Court to seven counts of criminal mischief and one count of aggravated trespassing, all misdemeanors.
He is accused of throwing semen on at least four women between Aug. 4 and Nov. 21.
Police identified Gibson from store videos, which they say also captured him throwing a fluid from a container on more women, but police don't know their identities.
Testing: Niles Capt. Ken Criswell filed the misdemeanor charges after blood tests revealed that Gibson doesn't have a communicable disease that would increase the charges to felonies. Gibson voluntarily submitted to the testing.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification in Richfield is doing DNA tests on the semen to determine if it is from Gibson. Police expect results in four to six weeks.
Gibson will return to municipal court Feb. 6.
