FOOD SALES AND DINNERS



THURSDAY
National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will serve pasta dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. The all-you-can-eat family-style dinners will include two meatballs, salad, bun, dessert and beverage and will be available for takeout. Cost will be $5.95 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. For information call (330) 538-3351.
Post and auxiliary members of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with salad, bread, and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost will be $5 for adults and 2.50 for children under 12. Carryout dinners will cost $5.25.
FRIDAY
Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will be taking orders for potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-ins will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday only. Patrons are asked to provide containers. This will be the final sale until Jan. 4.
Fish dinners will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church Hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, bread, butter, coffee and tea. Cost will be $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeout orders. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be taking orders for pirogi, hot pirogi lunches, and plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar doughnuts from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. Cost will be $3.50 for a dozen pirogi.
Hubbard VFW 3767 Auxiliary, 710 W. Liberty St., will hold a fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Cost will be $6 for large dinners, baked or fried, and $4.25 for small dinners. The menu will also feature a choice of french fries, haluski or macaroni and cheese. Carryouts will be available. For information call (330) 534-9775. This will be the last fish fry until Jan. 4.

Cost will be $3.75 per dozen, and pickup will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Patrons may provide their own containers and use the side entrance.
St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be taking orders for pizza at (330) 746-9577 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. Orders must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.
St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will be taking orders for potato, prune and kraut pirogi beginning at 7 a.m. at (330) 755-1316. Orders can be picked up beginning at noon Friday. No walk-in orders. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. This will be the final sale until Jan. 4. Frozen pirogi also will be sold while supplies last.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, Route 170, Main Street, New Middletown, will be taking orders for potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi at (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Frozen pirogi will be available.
St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will be taking orders for potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, based on availability, at (330) 747-3024. The cost will be $3.50 a dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and pick up their orders early. The side entrance should be used. This will be the last sale until Jan. 11.
SATURDAY
Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will sponsor a cookie walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cookies will be mix and match priced at $3.25 per dozen.
Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will hold a Christmas cookie sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SUNDAY
Italian-American War Veterans, Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 6-10. Those under 6 may eat for free. Carryouts also will be available to patrons providing their own containers.
XSt. Rocco's Episcopal Church, 239 Trumbull Ave., Liberty, will hold a homemade cavatelli and spaghetti dinner with polenta and sausage from noon to 4 p.m. Meals will be $5.50 for adults, $2.50 for children 6-12 and free to those under 5. Those desiring carryout service should provide their own containers. There will be a raffle.
A bake sale will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church hall. There will be breads, cakes, candy, cookies, kolachi, pies, strudel, coffee and punch, and free samples.
VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary will hold a breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post. Cost is $3.50 for children 12 and up and free to those under 12.
TAKING ORDERS
Hartford Community Church, state Route 7 at 305, is accepting orders for fresh baked nut rolls until Friday. The cost is $4 each.
