CANFIELD
Dec. 2
Burglary: The front door was kicked in at a condominium in the 40 block of Newton Circle. A bedroom was ransacked, all dressers appeared to have been searched, and money and jewelry appeared to be missing. Gold jewelry and rings were found under a tree in the woods near the complex.
Burglary: The front door was also kicked in at another condominium in the 30 block of Newton Square, and jewelry and money were reported missing.
Burglary: The front door was again kicked in at a condominium in the 40 block of Newton Square, and jewelry and precious metals were reported missing.
Burglary: A condominium in the 11 block of Newton Square was broken into. The break-in was discovered by a daughter of the occupants, who were out of town.
Dec. 3
Burglary: Residents in the 100 block of Talisman Drive were on vacation, but the brother of the owner reported someone damaged the front door and two locks after kicking it in. The first-floor bedroom and master bathroom were ransacked. Jewelry is missing from jewelry boxes and was spread over the bed and floor. The ground-floor window was open, and the screen removed.

Missing mail: A stock certificate had been mailed out by a resident of the 200 block of Bradford Lane on Nov. 28, but the owner thought the mail may have been delayed because of the anthrax scare. After reading about mail being stolen at the Canfield Post Office, he reported the certificates missing and called and cancelled the stocks and had them reissued since the certificate was negotiable.

Stolen vehicle report: A New Springfield man who had a motorcycle stolen from his home reported to police that he saw the cycle or one similar to it on the back of a pickup truck at Mahoning County Court, 72 N. Broad St.

Burglary: Jewelry was reported stolen from a home in the 500 block of Wilcox Road.
Theft: A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of North Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Stereo equipment was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the residential 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.
Theft: A CD player was reported stolen from an auto parked in the 1900 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: A suspect stole 24 pieces of oak casing at 84 Lumber, 6255 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Speakers were taken from a vehicle parked in the residential 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: Money was reported stolen from a purse at Big Lots, 1730 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Two females stole a wallet and fled in a black Ford Ranger from Speedway, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Vehicle theft: A 1995 Chevrolet conversion van was reported stolen from the residential 1200 block of Bexley Drive.
Auto theft: A 1989 Chevrolet Caprice was reported stolen from Austintown Middle School, 5800 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Several CDs were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Paisley Street.
Theft: Unknown items were stolen from a vehicle parked in a carport in the 1800 block of South Raccoon Road.
Arrest: The Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested a person in the theft of law enforcement equipment from a vehicle parked in a carport in the 1800 block of South Raccoon Road. The equipment was recovered.
Criminal damaging: The windshields were broken on three vehicles at King Kar Motors, 4125 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Money and checks were stolen from a file cabinet in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Assault: A male was assaulted in the residential 50 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: Power tools were stolen and two women arrested at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Attempted theft: The vehicle window on an auto was broken and the door left ajar in an attempted theft from an auto in the 1800 block of Paisley Street.
Break-in: A 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck was broken into in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Theft: CDs were taken from a vehicle parked at Wedgewood Lanes, 1749 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A check was taken from a kitchen table in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: Christmas lights were taken from a residence in the 80 block of Idaho Road.
Auto theft: A 1990 Oldsmobile was stolen from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Money and a cell phone were taken from an auto parked at Wedgewood Lanes.
Theft: Checks were reported stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of Hamman Drive.
Theft: A total of $188 in diesel fuel was reported stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Breaking and entering: The Brew Thru West, 6300 Mahoning Ave., had a window broken out. Police have a juvenile suspect.

Criminal damaging: A bill changer was damaged at a carwash at 1432 S. Raccon Road.
Drug offense: Police arrested a man and charged him with possession of drug parpahernalia at state Route 11 and Mahoning Avenue.
Dec. 8
Auto theft: A 1998 Chevrolet GEO Metro was stolen from the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
