YOUNGSTOWN -- Selena Dawn Banks and Christopher Shamus Phillips were married at 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Central Congregation. Edwin Harris presided for the daughter of Andrew and Clate Banks, 334 Mistletoe Ave., and the son of Cohen Phillips, 2316 Cranwood Drive S.W., Warren, and Barbara Phillips of Boardman.
A reception followed at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman, and the couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
An off-the-shoulder gown of champagne satin with gold detailing was worn by the bride.
Sandra Neal, the bride's cousin, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Candace Phillips, the groom's sister; Abigail Foster; Natasha Robinson; Tiffany Robinson; and Alexandra Simmons, the groom's niece. They wore mango-colored gowns. Flower girl was Seraiya Johnson.
Best man was Rashawn Moore, and groomsmen wee Shaun Phillips, the groom's brother; Brandon Pickens, his cousin; Edward Robinson Jr.; Floyd Chattman Jr.; and Jerron Lomax. The bride's cousin, Zadrian Barganier, was ring bearer. Ushers were Jilian Barganier and Thereasa and Jarred Ramirez, the bride's cousins; Deandra Tolbert; Jared Houston, the groom's cousin; Mike Murray; Clarence Jackson; and Robert Kittle.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing management, Mrs. Phillips, is a sales representative with FedEx Services in Moon Township, Pa.
Her husband is employed in general assembly at Lear Seating in Lordstown.
