LINDA BIVINSNICHOLAS GIOPPO III
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Marble Room at Stambaugh Auditorium provided the setting Nov. 10 for the wedding of Linda Marie Bivins and Nicholas Anthony Gioppo III, both of Baltimore.
The Rev. Robert Quaintance officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and later the newlyweds were honored during a reception at Fonderlac Country Club in New Springfield.
The bride is a daughter of Mary Wren Bivins of Cleveland Heights.
Parents of the groom are Nicholas and Margaret Gioppo of Poland.
The bride wore a white silk satin ballgown fashioned with an embroidered bodice with beaded straps, a basque waist and a sweep train.
The bride's sister, Roberta Bivins of Houston, was honor attendant, and Julie Kreczko of Cleveland was the bridesmaid.
Performing the duties of best man was Robert DeGeorge of Detroit, and groomsman was Phillip Democko of Columbus. Ushers were the bride's cousins, Andrew, Brian and Daniel Wren, all of Columbus.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Williamsburg and Chincoteague, Va. They live in Baltimore.
Mrs. Gioppo graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in geology. She is working as a laboratory technician.
Mr. Gioppo earned a bachelor's degree in geology at YSU and a master's in geology at Bowling Green State University. He is an earth science educator.
