Scouting report: The Penguins dropped their second straight game on the road Wednesday at Buffalo 63-53. It was YSU's third straight in a string of nine straight road games. Freshman forward Jen Perugini continued her outstanding play as she recorded her fifth straight double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Freshman Barbora Fabianova, who got her first career start against the Bulls, added 12 points in 30 minutes of action. Western Illinois won the North Star Invitational and also had a 64-59 win over Cleveland State. The Westerwinds suffered a 70-60 loss to Creighton in a game played Thursday night.
The series: This will be the 22nd meeting between the two teams, with the Penguins holding a 14-7 advantage, although the Westerwinds won the final meeting last season 82-50. YSU had won 12 of the last 13 meetings prior to that game.

Who: YSU Men (1-4) vs. Toledo (2-3).
When: 2 p.m.
Where: Savage Hall, Toledo.
The coaches: John Robic (32-31) is in his third season at YSU. Stan Joplin (89-62) is in his fourth season for the Rockets and carries a six-year career record of 219-179.
YSU starters: Stephen Flores, 6-7 senior forward, 8.4 points per game, 5 rebounds per game; Bill Mallernee, 6-6 sophomore at center, 9, 6; Ryan Patton, 5-11 senior guard, 14.4, 2; Rafael Cruz, 6-2 senior guard, 10.2, 2.6; Doug Underwood, 6-3 freshman guard, 14.2, 4.6.
Toledo starters: Nick Moore, 6-1 junior guard, 12.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg; Keith Triplett, 6-3 sophomore guard, 8.2, 5; Terry Reynolds, 5-9 sophomore guard, 12.8, 5.2; Milo Krish, 6-7, senior forward, 6.5, 4; Kareem Milson, 6-7 freshman forward, 7.8, 4.5.
Scouting report: The Penguins have dropped three straight on the road after beating Slippery Rock at home in the season opener. The Penguins have been beaten badly in two of their last three outings, losing to DePaul 107-69 in Chicago and then falling to Valparaiso 80-50. Last Saturday YSU blew a 10-point halftime lead and fell to Chicago State 81-72. The Rockets have lost games to Dayton, George Mason and St. Bonaventure, while their two victories came against IPFW and most recently Sienna, 64-61 in overtime on Tuesday.
Series: The Penguins have never defeated the Rockets and trail in the series 6-0. The last time the teams met was in 1999 with Toledo winning 63-57 at Beeghly. YSU is 0-3 in Toledo.
