Westminster falls to Thomas Moore

WOOSTER -- South Range High graduate Robin Thayer scored 12 points, but it wasn't enough to prevent Westminster College from losing to Thomas Moore, 66-57, Friday in the opening game of the Nan Nichols Classic.
Thayer connected on 6-of-14 shots from the field in accumulating her total while also adding four assists and two steals.
Ashley Kenney, of Greensburg, Pa., and Erica Tallo each added 10 points for the Titans (2-5), who trailed 32-25 at halftime.
Thomas More (5-3) got 18 points from Bridget New, 13 from Holly Roberts and 11 from Joanna Bess.
Tallo, a native of Oakdale, Pa., grabbed eight rebounds to lead Westminster, while Bethany Vice grabbed 10 rebounds for Thomas More.
