Police seek leadsin restaurant robbery
CORTLAND -- Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery of Golden Stallion, 111 Market St., on Monday to call Detective Tom Andrews at (330) 638-1000.
Reports state that someone entered the restaurant around 8 p.m., punched the clerk in the mouth and forced her to go into the walk-in freezer. The robber then fled the store with the cash register. The freezer is equipped with an inside latch so the clerk was able to escape, reports state.
Youth summit
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority is having a youth summit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today in the Ohio Room at Youngstown State University's Kilcawley Center.
There will be five presenters offering workshops. The event is an opportunity for youth to gain awareness of issues such as teen pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse, sexually transmitted disease education, computer training and team building.
