YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State's men's and women's basketball press conferences will be held Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. in the Roundball Room at Beeghly Center.

Anthony Floyd onC-USA team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- League champion Louisville, ranked No. 22 in the AP poll, had a league-high eight players named All-Conference USA Thursday, including Youngstown native Anthony Floyd, a junior safety.
Floyd, a graduate of Chaney High, was tied for second on the team with four interceptions. Last year, he led the nation in interceptions and is already Louisville's career leader in thefts with 17.
Floyd was also third on the team in tackles.
Louisville (10-2) will play Brigham Young in the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31.
Clark namedto North team
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- John Clark, a senior wide receiver for the John Carroll University football team from Youngstown and Ursuline High, has been named to the 2001 Don Hansen Football Gazette Division III All-North Region first team.
Clark set single-season school records for most receptions (65) and receiving yards (1,027), helping the Blue Streaks to a 7-3 record, including 6-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
He also led the OAC in receptions (6.5) and reception yards (104.5) per game, and ranked third in the OAC in all-purpose yards per game (149.3), and was selected to the All-OAC first team.
Titans' Roserselected for soccer
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College sophomore Matthew Roser is one of 33 players selected to the 2001 NSCA/Adidat Mid-Atlantic All-Region soccer team.
Roser played in 10 games for the Titans (14-5-1) leading the team with nine goals and seven assists as Westminster tied the school record for wins.

Ross out of bowl,declaring for draft
COLUMBUS -- Cornerback Derek Ross has played his last game in an Ohio State uniform.
Ross, who led the Big Ten with seven interceptions this year, underwent shoulder and toe surgery Wednesday and will not be available when the Buckeyes play Jan. 1 in the Outback Bowl.
The junior met with coach Jim Tressel on Monday and told him he would give up his final season of eligibility to make himself available for the NFL draft, Ohio State sports information director Steve Snapp said.

NEW YORK -- Pete Sampras' new coach is Tom Gullikson, the former U.S. Davis Cup captain and the twin brother of Sampras' former coach, Tim, who died of cancer in 1996.
Seles treated for minor injuries in car accident

VENICE, Fla. -- Monica Seles and her mother were treated for minor injuries after a car accident in which the other driver was charged with driving under the influence, police said.
The 28-year-old tennis star and her 62-year-old mother, Ester, were taken by ambulance to Doctors Hospital and later released.
Monica Seles was driving her sports utility vehicle Wednesday night when a pickup truck driven by Cynthia Bauman turned directly in front of Seles' path, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

ROME -- The European Union will establish its own "zero tolerance" system to fight drug use in sports. The EU wants to eliminate differences in antidoping laws from country to country, establishing strict guidelines barring use of banned performance-enhancing substances.
