Office space donated
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor has donated space for the Ohio Bicentennial's eastern regional office. The office will serve as the place for planning and development of events in Carroll, Columbiana, Holmes, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. Lori Gilk, the regional coordinator and a Trumbull County native, will staff the office through 2003. Ohio turns 200 March 1, 2003.
Feed the Needy skate
AUSTINTOWN -- The Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave., will have a Feed the Needy skate from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13. People who bring in a can of food will get free admission. The food will be donated to the Rescue Mission.
